Robert Becher – Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP

Rob has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes business litigation and arbitration matters for over twenty years.

He is the Chair of Quinn Emanuel’s Cannabis Litigation Practice Group.  Rob has represented cannabis clients involved in retail, cultivation, and private equity as well as CEOs, founders and corporate directors.  Rob has successfully litigated all types of business disputes, including shareholder litigation, directors and officers litigation, merger and acquisition litigation, private equity disputes, and trade secret litigation.

In recognition of his cutting edge work in the cannabis space, Rob was selected as a Cannabis Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal.

Matters

• Defeated a motion for preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order which sought to prevent stockholders from selling more than $125 million of stock in a publicly-traded cannabis grower and retailer.
• Represent a cannabis retailer in a lawsuit in Delaware Chancery Court that seeks to unwind a complex business transaction involving cannabis dispensaries.
• Represent a cannabis entrepreneur in a lawsuit alleging the breach of an agreement to grant him an ownership interest in a cannabis business.
