Laura Cardeño

Laura Cardeño has been working in cannabis practice. She specializes in contracts and is a magister in commercial law, with knowledge in regulatory matters in the cannabis industry and advises investors, start-ups, and vertically integrated companies throughout the value chain. Before on board the cannabis industry, she gained over 11 years of experience in developing infrastructure and agroindustry projects in sectors such as oil, gas, and biofuels on base sugar cane in Colombia in managerial legal positions and working with multinational contractors. She is a member of ASOCOLCANA, the largest cannabis industry association in Colombia and is a speaker at the Pharmacology University of Dallas, Texas in Colombia.

Matters & Cases

She actively participated from the start of the development of the law in Colombia, achieving the first license of a company for manufacturing, crop, and quota for psychoactive activities. Also, organized the company for the IPO process in Canada.

She advised and continues to advise national and international vertically or not integrated cannabis producers on its launch and export products such as seeds, flowers, and extracts as well as regulatory matters and in various matters before the Colombian authorities, as well as participating in legislative development.
